Critisism on Hindu deities : Staunch Shivsainiks thwart book exhibition

Aurangabad : An exhibition displaying books containing disgraceful criticism on Hindu deities as also mudslinging on Lokmanya Tilak and Gopal Ganesh Agarkar was thwarted by the staunch patriot Shivsainiks. At the Balawant Library in Aurangapura ‘Shubham Sahitya’, Pune has organized a book exhibition. Books on different topics, by various authors and publishers are on exhibit. Among them,there are some objectionable books too.

A book titled ‘Ganapatichi Sangitik Preta-yatra’ written by Vishwasrao Deshmukh about the much worshipped and venerated deity of all Hindus, a book titled ‘Aastik Devancha Divya Vyabhichar, Nastikancha Sadachar’ wriiten by Pandit K. S. Sankaye containing indecent and vulgar matter on Hindu deities and similar other books were kept for sale. A few Shivsainiks saw those books when they visited the book exhibition and they were outraged. They collected all such abhorrent books immediately and tore some of them then and there and caused commotion in the exhibition. The organizers have lodged a complaint at the ‘City’ Chowk police station.
