Why we must stop such Denigration of Deities?
Dombivali (Maharashtra): A ‘Shiva-pindi’ made of ice was kept outside a cloth shop on Kelkar Road. As per the science of spirituality, touch, taste, form, smell and energy coexist. Thus a melting Shiv-pindi will at some point no longer represent the energy of Lord Shiva.
When it was noticed by Sanatan seekers, Mrs. Amruta Sambhus, Mrs. Vrushali Kakde, Mrs. Sangita Lotalikar and Mr. Sandip Agnihotri, they met the owner of the shop, Mr. Mahesh Bhanushali. They explained to him how it causes denigration of the ‘Shiva-pindi’. They drew his attention to how the swayambhu Shiv- pindi in the cave of Amarnath was different from a man made idol made of ice. Thus they asked him to stop displaying this man-made ‘pindi’ of melting ice.
The seekers also met Mr. Navare, the person who had prepared that ‘pindi’, so as to convince him about the same. Just then a Muslim ‘fakir’ came up to them with a peacock feather and started asking for money. Mrs. Lotalikar and Mr. Agnihotri admonished him. At that time, Mr. Navare and his family began to fight with Sanatan seekers and alleged that they were doing everything only for publicity. Mr. Navare said, “We are also Hindus. We don’t believe that it results in denigration of the ‘Shiva-pindi’ as you are claiming and I don’t at all agree with your views.” (Hindus must realise that due to a lack of education about Dharma, many Hindus don’t know of the things that can cause the denigration of Deities. Hindus should join the ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes conducted by HJS and awaken within themselves a deep respect towards their Dharma! – Editor SP)
Mr. Navare, however, removed the ‘Shiva-pindi’ after listening to Sanatan seekers.
