Gorakhpur : A BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh has demanded that the party declare Gorakhpur MP Yogi Adityanath as its chief ministerial candidate for the UP assembly elections slated for next year.
“BJP has only two alternatives, Kalyan Singh and Yogi Adityanath, for the chief minister’s post. Most of the MPs from the state are in favour of Yogi Adityanath,” Salem MP Ravindra Kushwaha yesterday said at a meeting of party workers in his constituency.
He said BJP should declare Adityanath as the nominee for the chief minister’s post at the earliest and start preparing for the polls.
While veteran Kalyan Singh (ex CM of UP and now Governor of Rajasthan) is named as chief ministerial candidate for his active participation of Babri Structure demolition and Ram Janmabhoomi Movement, uprising fire brand Hindutva leader and Gorakhpur Nath Peeth pontiff is named for the same for his unique Hindutva proliferation in many current and conventional Hindu issues.
Adityanath, 43, an influential Hindutva leader known for making unmatched comments, had last year said those talking about intolerance should go to Pakistan, sending cow killers in grave yards or ending love jihad and uncontrolled Muslim birth-rate with hardest strategies. Yogi Adityapath has always slapped on the communal political leaders like Azam Khan, Badaruddin Azmal, Owaisi brothers with his hard hitting capability.
Adityanath has been advocating for the immediate construction of Rama temple in Ayodhya and Beef ban in Uttar Pradesh.
Most of Hindutva outfits hailed the proposal of Ravindra Kushwaha suggesting Yogi Adityanath as projected CM of Uttar Pradesh.
