Francois Gautier’s fund raising event supporting Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum of True Indian History

New Jersey (USA): About 300 people gathered for an event Organised by FACT  (Foundation Against Continued Terrorism) established by Francois Gautier to raise funds in support of Chhatrapti Shivaji Musuem of Indian history.   The purpose of this Museum is stated by Francois as,  “In India there are no museums of Indian history worth the name. So we took up this idea to start from the Vedas, go on to talk about the greatness of the whole of India and the entire drama of the invasions through history, the Hindu holocaust, and then portray India of today and tomorrow”.    About 50,000 dollars donations was received by FACT India during the event.

Francois mentioned that in spite of India having greatest history, none of that is known to the rest of the world. India, he mentioned was leading light in every field of human achievement in language, science, art, culture and spiritual.  It is most tolerant that invited persecuted peoples of all over the world who flourished in that sacred land.  None of this history is known and what is known is distorted.

India also was subject to brutal treatment by Islamic invaders followed by ravaging done by colonizers.   According to some studies quoted by K.C. Lal that in a span of around 200 years around 2500, Indian population decreased by 80 million by brutal Islamic conquests and US historian categorized it as most brutal period of human history.   In addition, Mughal periods which is glorified (like that of Akbar) and given a tame version to the brutal rule of Aurangzeb are grossly distorted.   He mentioned that India needs to face this brutal period to come to terms with it.  He quoted how the Jewish Holocaust was studied not only in Israel,  but in great depths in Germany and this will help to prevent such occurrences in future.  On the contrary, as much as India pushed this history out of their vision, it is repeating itself.   India is facing Islamic persecution from 700 to today but the form has changed.   The country has never recovered from the trauma of partition.  In 1990, 350,000  Kashmiri Hindus were driven away from Kashmir and are living as refugees in their own country for last 18 years in squalid refugee camps.  During last 4 years the number of terror deaths and terror incidents in India is only next to war torn country Iraq.  In Pakistan, Hindus and Sikhs number reduced from 25% (in 1947) to less than 1% and in Bangla Desh there is continuing genocide occurring that reduced Hindus from 30% to 10%.

The Museum will cover the Portuguese inquisition and the sufferings of other communities such as Sikh riots,  Syrian Christians, Amadi Muslims.  Francois requested everyone that a Museum of True Indian History is long overdue and urged everyone to support his project.

The event displayed the several exhibitions created by FACT India such as ‘Aurangzeb, according to Mughal records’,  ‘Sikhs, The defenders of Indian Dharma’,  ‘Naxalism, threat to Unified India’.  Also displayed are films on ‘Trauma of Partition’ etc.

The program ended with a wonderful dance ‘Parijatapaharanam’ by Nrithya Madhavi School of Dance, based in Edison, New Jersey.
