Hindu Awakening Meet organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti took place at Sowcarpet  recently. Around 18 people attended the Meet. The Meet was conducted in Hindi by Mr.Vinayak Shanbag of HJS. A synopsis of the same was given in Tamil by Mrs. Uma Ravichandran.

Details of the Meet:

The Meet was commenced with Prarthana. The present state of the Hindus was dealt in detail along with video presentation of the denigration of the Hindu Deities by artist, M.F.Husain who was duly rewarded with a recommendation for Bharat Ratna by Honourable Union Minister, Mr. Shashi Tharoor.

The new face of terrorism, which imparts rigorous training to even children and women to become potential terrorists was presented . Then the shocking facts that lakhs of exchequer money (tax payers’ money)  was spent for the comfortable stay and conveyance of the terrorist , Kazab who was involved in the November Mumbai blast was told.

The need of a separate Hindu channel and newspaper was stressed as no news channel or media gives the true information on the various attacks on Hinduism. The recent  barbaric attack of Muslims in Miraj on Ganesha mandalis on Anantha Chathurthi Day on 3rd September was shown.  The provocation was a picture depicting Shivaji Maharaj killing Afzal Khan which is a historic fact. The Police people ended up arresting Hindus.

The illusion that Police people will come to our help during attacks was thwarted by the video presentation wherein they are mute spectators to the assault by muslims in U.P., Burhanpur. So, we have to prepare ourselves in order to protect ourselves.

For that, Dharma Sikshan is very important as it is neither imparted at home nor at school or college nor at temple. Samiti plays an important role in this through display of Dharma Sikshan flex wherein the correct method of celebrating birthdays, new year, importance of namaskar etc at various places.

The enemy is nowhere else. He is within us . This point was highlighted through the presentation of a discourse by a fake self-proclaimed Jagadguru, Devananada Saraswathi at a muslims’ gathering.

The multi-faceted approach of Samiti to overcome this:
1. Display of Dharma Phalaks  in temples
2. Convening a meeting of Dharmabhimanis whenever possible to create awareness
3. Spreading Satwik vibrations in society through sale of Satwik products , Holy Granths etc.
4. Through web-site which ranks 3rd in the world among all the spiritual web-sites. Almost 1 lakh people visit the web-site every month.

The Bhaithak came to a conclusion after offering gratitude at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna. Then, all the participants formed a circle to have an informal chat on how to proceed.  Many were eager to have more of such Meets in other places. Mr. Janardhanan of Nanganallur who came for the first time was very impressed and told that he will bring around 10 ladies and children for the next Meet. Mr. Surendar who gave the projector promised that he will give the projector at half the rental rate for the next functions. Mr. Mohan Lal arranged the hall of Ekal Vidyalaya saucarpet free of cost.

Some of the dignitaries who participated in the Meet are:

1.Mr. Hanuman Ram Patel ,RSS
2.Mr. G.M.Balaraman, Sri Ram Sena, TN State President
3.Mr. M.Meenakshi Sundaram, Convener, Mahila Wing, VHP Tamil Nadu.
