Chennai: HJS & other Hindus meet Endowment Commisioner of Tamil Nadu

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha, along with other Hindu Organisations like Seva Bharathi, Dharma Rakshana Samiti, Vishwa Hindu Parishad etc., led by Mr. V.Sundaram, Retd. IAS Officer, Editor of News Today, went and met the Commissioner, HRO and Temple Endowment Board, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, regarding display of Dharma Shikshan Charts in the temples of Tamil Nadu, recently.

The delegation of members were led and introduced by Mr. V Sundaram:
1. Mr. Gopaljee, VHP, Editor of Dinamalar,
2. Mr. Naresh Babu, Dharma Rakshana Samiti,
3. Mr. Durai Shankar, Seva Bharathi,
4. Mrs. Uma Ravichandran, Co-ordinator, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti,
5. Mr. P.Prabhakaran, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti,
6. Mr. Kashinath Shetti, Sanatan Sanstha

Mr. P. Prabhakaran showed Dharma Shikshan (Imparting knowledge of Dharma) charts like ‘What should be done before taking Darshan?’, ‘How to take Darshan?’, ‘How to do Pradakshina?’, ‘What should be done after Pradakshina?’ and ‘How to do Namaskar? to the Commissioner, Mr.Sampath.

Mr. Sundaram told that Karnataka Govt. has given permission and he also told about the very good response we are getting from the devotees in Chennai. Mrs. Uma Ravichandran showed the video presentation of how to have Darshan in temple in her laptop. The proper method of birthday celebration as per Sanatan Dharma was also shown to him.

The Commissioner asked who prepared that and told that if it would have been in tamil, it will be better.  Mr. Gopal ,editor of Daily paper Dinamalar told that these points can be published in Dinamalar daily as they should reach the public. 

The Commissioner  doubted whether these can be put up for display as our Country is secular. Then it was explained to him that the secular principle will not be violated by displaying the Dharma Shikshan charts in temples where only Hindus come. Mr. V Sundaram once again requested the Commissioner to give the written permission at the earliest.
