Ratnagiri (Maharashtra): Some months ago, Ancient Idols and other items were stolen from Sree Mareshwar Temple in Sangameshwar Taluka. Recently there was a theft in Sree Dhutpapeshwar Temple in Rajapur Taluka. In the last few months there were 30 incidents of Idol desecrations in Temples in Goa and such similar incidents are repeating all over Maharashtra. There is definitely some plot behind such incidents. But until now, not a single thief has been arrested. The Congress Govt. shows promptness in finding ‘Hajrat Hair’ (the hair of Mohammad Paigambar – Founder of Islam), but why can’t it show the same dedication in case of investigation of the numerous thefts of Deities’ Idols in Temples. Such hard questions were raised by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, Spokesperson of HJS for Maharashtra and Gujarat State.

Mr. Shinde was speaking at a Press Conference in Sree Patit Pavan Mandir at Ratnagiri. While refering to the attacks on Hindu Dharma and culture, Mr. Shinde said, “Rulers of today’s Hindusthan have decided to blank out our honourable History. In NCERT’s History textbooks there is a lot information about the Mughal Sultans whose names are not even heard of by many Indians, but the same books contain only 4 lines worth of information about the Righteous Hindu King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This book does not even have the name of the great Hindu warrior Maharana Pratap. HJS is trying to include the glorious History of valiant Hindu Kings in school History textbooks.”

Speaking about attacks on Hindu Culture, Mr. Shinde said, “TV programs like Reality Shows are bringing the vulgarity of western culture right into our homes, in the name of fashionable globalisation. Now Marathi movies have begun to mimic the vulgarity flaunted in English and Hindi movies. Artists and the Director of the Marathi movie ‘Jogwa’ are supporting this vulgarity under the name of the it being required to support the script and the story. This is causing the next generation to head off in the wrong direction. These vulgar programs and movies are trying to destroy the very fabric of the Bharatiya family system and values of common people. HJS will always be

vehemently against it.”

Mr. Shinde also announced that Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is working to protect the History of Hindusthan, Hindu Dharma and Hindu Culture and towards this end has organized 125 Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas in Hindusthan. Dharmajagruti Sabhas have even been started in USA and England. HJS organizes more than 700 free Dharma Shikshan Vargs (Classes for giving Education about Hindu Dharma) in Hindusthan to impart Education on Hindu Dharma to Hindus.

HJS’ Mr. Sanjay Joshi and Mr. Rajaram Padhye of Sanatan Sanstha were also present at this press conference.
