Mumbai : Shivjayanti was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm at Dnyandeep School of Airoli on 19th February so as to motivate students to inculcate good qualities of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from tender age. Lectures were organized under this program wherein Kum. Samadhan Jadhav, a student studying in tenth standard in Modern School, Koparkhairane and Shri. Harshad Khanavilkar from Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) spoke on Shivaji Maharaj and his life history.

Kum. Samadhan presented biography of Maharaj; mesmerizing students. He said that it was a tragedy that today, we do not have loyal ‘mawlas’ like Maharaj had at that time. Other countries follow war-strategies adopted by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, his life history is taught there but we are so unfortunate that in our country, our rulers do not value the greatness of Maharaj.

Shri. Khanavilkar said that children would get blessings of Ganapati and Goddess Saraswati if they pray to them before starting study as Maharaj got help from God. We will also get help from God. About 350 people including students from 4th to 7th standard and teachers attended the program.

Highlight : Students presented speeches and ballads on life history of Shivaji Maharaj with great enthusiasm.
