Hindu organizations support Trimbakeshwar temple’s stand of not allowing women in sanctum

Trimbakeshwar : Atheist activists of ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ and other so-called progressive organizations have, through a letter, warned the Mandir Devasthan of staging agitation for their demand that women should be allowed in sanctum sanctorum. The temple management has, however, reiterated its stand of not allowing women in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The stance taken by temple management for protecting religious traditions is most appropriate. Activists of various pro-Hindu organizations met Trustees Shri. Satyapreet Shukla and Sou. Lalita Shinde and gave representations to the above effect, extending support to their stand.

Chhatrapati Yuva Sanghatana; Purohit Sangh, Trimbakeshwar; Akhil Bharatiya Maratha Mahasangram Sanghatana; Akhil Bharatiya Vidarbh Matang Sena; Sara Foundation; BJP Mahila Dakshata Samiti and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti are some of the pro-Hindu organizations which gave such representation. It has been stated in the representation that agitation proposed to be staged by ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ is only out of its crave for publicity. Demand made by activists of that organization is hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. The stand taken by temple management is right and we will stage demonstrations if need be, for protection of our religious traditions.

Trimbak Town Council’s Mayor supports stand taken by Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple management

Management of Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple has turned down the demand of ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ for allowing women’s entry in sanctum sanctorum. Congratulations to temple management for the same. The stand taken by temple management for preserving age-old traditions observed at this temple, against women’s entry in sanctum sanctorum of the temple is right and we support the management. A letter extending support was handed over to temple trustees by Sou. Vijaya Laddha, the Mayor of Trimbak Town Council.

It has been further stated in the letter that ‘Jyotirlinga’ of Trimbakeshwar is ‘Swayambhoo’ and as per the tradition, only half-clad men wearing sanctified robe are allowed in the sanctum- sanctorum of the temple. This tradition is being followed for hundreds of years and has so far, been respected by many kings, mahants, businessmen and women from all strata of society who have visited the temple. The stand taken by temple management is appropriate and has been supported, in writing, by many women and local residents. We too support their decision.

Unanimous resolution passed by Trimbakeshwar Town Council and Gram-sabha !

Outside force behind Bhoomata Brigade

Swami Sagaranand Saraswati Maharaj said about Bhoomata Brigade, “Were the members of Brigade born in India or in another country ? Have they not studied Indian culture ? There seems to be some outside force which is trying to attack Vedic Hindu culture through them, feel Sadhus from Trimbakeshwar, local residents and devotees. Women are considered to be form of Goddess under Indian culture. As per our Vedic literature, ‘Adishakti’ has incarnated in war of every Era for eradication of demons and atheists. Brigade members will have to be reminded of these things. People should beware of such women.

Only one priest allowed to perform ‘puja’ in Somanath Temple

We support protection of religious traditions followed at Shri Kshetra Trimbakeshwar ! – Shiv Sena MLA Hemant Godse

Few atheists and other pro (re) gressive women’s organizations have written a letter to this Mandir Devasthan, warning to stage agitation. The temple management’s stand of not allowing women in sanctum sanctorum is most appropriate.

It is wrong to demand entry in sanctum sanctorum of Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple. We should preserve our religious customs and traditions and continue to follow the same. We extend support to the drive undertaken for protection of our religious traditions, said Shiv Sena MP Shri. Hemant Godse from Nashik while Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti meeting him on this issue.
