Shri Kshetra Trimbakeshwar : Trupti Desai of so-called progressive ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ had warned to enter sanctum sanctorum of temple at Trimbakeshwar in Nashik District, which is one of the twelve ‘Jyotirlingas’; but her publicity stunt was foiled by devotees. Devout local women residents of Trimbaknagari by protecting sanctity of this temple and they acquired grace of Lord Shiva on the auspicious day of ‘Mahashivaratri’. Police took activists of Bhoomata Brigade into custody at Nandur diversion near Sangamner, who were planning to enter sanctum sanctorum of Trimbakeshwar Temple on 7th March; therefore, all Shiva-devotees, ‘Hindutvavadis’ and local residents acclaimed Lord Shiva and celebrated the auspicious day.
Women from Trimbak Town Council, temple administration and ‘Hindutvavadis’ were present; besides, there was tight police security, due to which, the drive undertaken for protection of religious traditions was successful as per the saying ‘Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah’ !

Trimbakeshwar : Atheist activists of Bhoomata Brigade warned to stage agitation by entering sanctum sanctorum of Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple although there is ban on women to do so. Temple trustees, Trimbak Town Council, all local residents, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha and devout Hindus joined together to oppose Bhoomata Brigade’s agitation and as a part of this drive, a Cell was set up in front of Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple for creating awareness amongst people; making an appeal to devotees and local residents to join the drive for protection of Hindus’ traditions. Many local women also joined this drive.
Spontaneous participation by local women in drive for protection of Hindus’ religious traditions !
All pro-Hindu organizations had undertaken the drive of protection of religious traditions and local native women spontaneously joined the drive. On 7th March, these women were present from 7.00 a.m. and they acclaimed Bhagavan Shiva, besides chanting. Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) explained to these women, the science behind prohibiting women from entering sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The State Finance Minister, Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar had gone to Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple for ‘darshan’. He was questioned by reporters about agitation staged by Trupti Desai. He said, “I also went to the temple for ‘darshan’ but since I was not wearing sanctified clothes and half-clad, I was not allowed to enter sanctum-sanctorum. I respected the instruction given to me. The demand made by the organization, opposition to the agitation and Constitution, all will have to be looked into before trying to solve this problem. Solution has to be found within the framework of law. The Government will have discussions with all factions before taking any decision. Presently, District Administration can take decisions depending upon the prevailing situation. It is not necessary for the Government to discuss matters. Trupti Desai, priests of the temple and local residents can solve the problem by discussing the issue among them.
Representation submitted by HJS to FM Mungantiwar demanding action against atheist Bhoomata Brigade’s Trupti Desai
Atheist Bhoomata Brigade’s Trupti Desai has planned to stage agitation against Dharma-shastra which can create serious law and order problem leading to untoward incident; therefore, police and State administration should impose ban on Trupti Desai and her Brigade’s women activists from entering Nashik district as a precautionary measure. Brigade’s activists are staging agitation for wrong reasons and creating inconvenience to people. It is also causing huge loss to the State coffers. The loss should be recovered from Bhoomata Brigade, were the demands made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a representation submitted by Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar to Finance Minister Shri. Mungantiwar while he was on visit to Shri Trimbakeshwar temple.
