‘Dharmasansad’ to be held to discuss issue of women’s entry in sanctum of Trimbakeshwar temple

Decision to hold ‘Dharma-sansad’ for discussing issue of allowing women in the sanctum sanctorum of ‘Jyotirlinga’ temple at Trimbakeshwar ! – Durga Shukre, President, Bhoomata Brigade

Nashik : It has been decided on 12th March to hold discussions with Shankaracharyas of 4 Peethas, ‘Aakhaadaa Parishada’, trustees of Trimbakeshwar Devasthan and Bhoomata Brigade in ‘Dharmasansad’ for unanimously resolving the issue, informed Durga Shukre, the President of Bhoomata Brigade.

If you come for discussions, we will welcome you. Try to learn shastra (science) and traditions. It is good that you are holding ‘Dharma-sansad’; but we shall not allow breaking customs and traditions in any situation, followed by our village, told Shri. Trupti Desai has been dismissed from Bhoomata Brigade in January ! – Durga Shukre

Advocate Trupti Desai, who had gathered 100 activists on the day of Mahashivaratri for entering sanctum sanctorum of Trimbakeshwar Temple, creating problem for police and local administration, has been removed from Bhoomata Brigade in January. It is only an attempt on her part to get publicity. She has been threatening even us, informed Durga Shukre, the President of Bhoomata Brigade.    

Shukre said further, “There are many crucial difficulties faced by the State; farmers are facing serious problems and our organization has been trying to do something concrete towards such cause. Agitation started by Desai is only a publicity stunt. The issue for which she is fighting can be resolved through discussions.

Trupti Desai threatens to enter sanctum sanctorum of temple on 28th March !

Advocate Shrikant Gaidhane, a trustee of Trimbakeshwar Mandir was called up by Trupti Desai and she told him to take decision by 27th March about allowing women in sanctum sanctorum since she and her activists were planning to go to Trimbakeshwar Temple on 28th March. She also said that she didn’t know Shukre and she was the founder-President of that organization.
