Tuljapur (Dist. Dharashiv) : Slaughtering of cows and cattle is taking place openly despite the Act passed in the State imposing ban on slaughter. In the name of management, Hindus temples are taken over and there is lot of corruption in their management. Grants are given for pilgrimages undertaken by minorities whereas tax is levied on Hindus’ pilgrimages. There are several such problems although Hindus are majority in this country. The only solution to all the problems is establishment of Hindu Rashtra keeping Chhatrapati Shivaraya as an ideal before us, stated Sou. Rajashri Tiwari of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) while addressing ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha (Sabha)’ held at Lohia Mangal Karyalaya behind bus depot. Advocate Nilesh Sangolkar of Sanatan Sanstha shared the dais with her. The ‘sabha’ was attended by about 600 devout Hindus.

Adv. Sangolkar said that discussion sessions are held by media on persons raising anti-national slogans at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and they are glorified through such discussions; but not a word is said about other serious problems like cow-slaughter, kidnapping of Hindu girls etc. Sanatan Sanstha is creating awareness amongst people through spread of spirituality and imparting knowledge on matters related to Dharma; but progressive factions level different charges against Sanatan Sanstha and demand ban on Sanatan. Sanatan seekers are, however, leading life at spiritual level rather than leading life at psychological level. They are not worried about demands of ban against Sanatan.

The ‘sabha’ was started with blowing of conch and lighting of lamp by dignitaries. Shri. Sangolkar then garlanded statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. There was recitation of ‘Veda mantras’ and felicitation of speakers. Shri. Suresh Naikwadi welcomed Shri. Sangolkar and Sou. Tiwari was welcomed by Sou. Rohini Bhosale. Sou. Sunita Dixit explained activities undertaken by HJS and did compeering of the ‘sabha’.
