Hindus stop women activists trying to enter sanctum of Mahalakshmi temple at Kolhapur

Activists of ‘AVANI’ try to enter sanctum sanctorum of Shri Mahalakshmi Temple, but priests and local Hindu women drove them away

Kolhapur : Activists of AVANI, a social organization tried to enter sanctum sanctorum of Shri Mahalakhsmi Temple in Kolhapur; but priests of the temple stopped them. Activists of ‘AVANI’ started raising slogans inside the temple as they were stopped; therefore, local women present there drove the activists out of temple premises. This incident has led to deploying additional police patrolling outside the temple and ‘Juna Rajwada’ police station has served notice to Anuradha Bhosale, the President  of ‘AVANI’ in this connection.

Last week, Mumbai High Court passed a verdict that there cannot discrimination based on sex at any religious place and wherever men are allowed to go, women should also be allowed. Based on this verdict, on 2nd April, few atheist women and so-called progressive women staged agitation at Shani Shingnapur for climbing temple-pedestal of Shri Shanidev but their attempts failed. Now, social worker Anuradha Tendulkar, Anuradha Bhosale and other women activists have staged agitations for getting entry into sanctum sanctorum of Shri Mahalakshmi Temple.

1.Anuradha Bhosale, Anuradha Tendulkar and few other women activists entered the temple in different attires.

2. These women activists were stopped by temple –priests and other women-devotees to cross brass threshold. As a result, these activists started raising slogans.

3. Local women drove away women activists out of the temple. Presently there is tension in the temple area and additional police force has been deployed.

4. As per the temple-priests, only women from royal family are allowed to enter sanctum sanctorum; therefore, women activists from ‘AVANI’ were stopped.

Anti-nationals and anti-Hindus not realizing priorities !

There are so many serious problems faced by this country right now such as love jihad, women’s safety, cow-slaughter, suicides by farmers, attacks by jihadis, attack by 50 million Bangladeshis, pollution of River Ganga etc. but anti-nationals and anti-Hindu intellectuals give importance to matters like entering sanctum sanctorum of Shri Mahalakshmi Temple; climbing temple-pedestal of Shani Mandir; entering sanctum sanctorum of Trimbakeshwar temple etc. (Hindus need to realize the ploy of progressive factions to create rift amongst Hindus and divide them under the guise of equality for women ! All devotees of Goddess Mahalakshmi expect the State Government and police to take action against such atheist and women activists from progressive factions. 

Tantrums thrown by Anuradha Bhosale of ‘AVANI’ – She is going to lodge complaint against people jostling women-activists !

Anuradha Bhosale told reporters after the above incident that, activists getting jostled by people, was not right and they would be lodging complaint with police against the people involved in such jostling. (Anuradha Bhosale’s action is like a thief making noise about committing theft !
