Pune : Shri. Milind Ekbote, a Municipal Councilor (elected as an Independent candidate), Pune and a staunch Hindu has said on reading the news about Shri. Subrao Patil, the District-collector of Satara making a mockery of Hindu religion and Lord Ganesh, that officials making mockery of the deities should be whipped in presence of all people.
If such officials are ridiculing Hindu deities while occupying Government posts, were all the Hindus present in that meeting eunuchs? Shri Ekbote asked. Shri. Subrao should behave himself in public. When one is careful of what one says regarding Muslims or Christians, it is really shameful that despite being a Hindu, he is insulting Hindu deities. He has also warned Shri. Patil that he would have to face the consequences if he repeats such mistake.
