‘Dainik Jananpravas’ accuses Sanatan Sanstha in connection with a threatening letter received by them

In the name of Sanatan Sanstha, a threat has been given by a person whose name we are ashamed to take. (Sanatan has lodged a complaint with the police station against this unknown person condemning the threat ! – Editor SP) We have surmounted many such threats since entering the field of new paper. The instances of throttling of freedom of media have been going on since time immoral; but not a single journalist has given much importance to such threats in the past nor will any journalist give importance to such threats even in future. We belong to the same heritage. In Sangli, incidents of attacks on journalists were reported. On 9th January 1974, Bapusaheb Kharade, the editor of ‘Dainik Lalkar’ was attacked. Shivdas Jankar, reporter of ‘Dainik Tarun Bharat’ was also locked up and beaten up.; but the reporting never lost its gleam in Sangli. (‘Sanatan Prabhat’s reporters have also faced many such threats and people’s outcry in the past; in fact, many times, threat to blow up Sanatan Prabhat’s office have also been received. In the year 2005, fanatics had attacked Sanatan’s office in Miraj which is one such example ! – Editor SP)

Before lashing at any transgression, a newspaper known as the fourth pillar of democracy, has to realize its responsibilities. Just because, people go to certain place in large numbers, does not mean that they are right. (And just because a few persons feel that certain thing is not proper that does not mean it is so ! – Editor SP) The matter so far published by us about Sanatan was based on the information given by the police and the actual incidents. As ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ has a right to express its opinion, we too have similar right to express our opinions. We have the courage to call a spade as a spade. (In that case, ‘Dainik Janapravas’ should tell us that how many of the clarifications given by Sanatan Sanstha have been published by them. Not a single clarification given by Sanatan about the bomb blast has been published by this newspaper; how can one agree with the claim of ‘Dainik Janapravas’? – Editor SP)

Sanatan Sanstha always claims its non-involvement. (Does the newspaper mean to say that even if Sanatan Sanstha is not involved, it should accept its involvement? – Editor SP) As a matter of fact, in case of Sindhu-durga issue, blasts taking place at a theater in Thane and now in Goa, Sanatan’s name has come forth in all police inquiries. (There was no bomb blast that ever occurred at Sindhu-durga, therefore, question of Sanatan’s name coming to forth does not arise. This eliminates the credibility of the editorial. Will the citizens believe in such wrong information? – Editor SP)

There are many pro-Hindu organizations existing in India. There are extremist organizations like RSS, Bajarang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishada etc. But in case of bomb blasts taking place in Maharashtra, name of none of these organizations has ever been taken. The question, therefore, is why Sanatan Sanstha’s name is coming forth every now and then. (How will the people know if the clarification given is not published; besides, coming Sanatan’s name in forefront does not mean that Sanatan is involved. It is like constantly accusing someone of some offense and convict him on the basis of accusations. Is this the faith the honorable editor has in the fourth pillar of democracy? Sanatan has never been accused by either the police or the judiciary, therefore, raising such kind of question is misguiding people ! – Editor SP)

There are many organizations working for spirituality like Swadhyay Parivar, Nirankari Parivar, Gayatri Parivar, Aniruddha Bapu, Asaram Bapu etc. but their name is never taken in such matters; why only Sanatan’s name is taken? A van carrying arms was also detained. (A case is going on in the matter and soon the truth will come before the people about arms in the van. An important thing may be mentioned here that news about the van not carrying any arms was first given by the Sanatan reporter to Mr. Sanjay Bhokre, the editor of ‘Dainik Janajpravas’. It is another matter that still the police filed case against Sanatan. But is it proper to accuse Sanatan just because news is published in the newspaper of such editor regarding detention of a van. Such accusations have been made against many political leaders from different parties, in fact, in some cases, the offence has also been proved. It is contemptible to accuse Sanatan on the basis of a ploy hatched by a few persons ! – Editor SP) The van belonged to Sanatan Sanstha. The Sanstha refers to the persons working for it as seekers. But if somebody is causing harm to the society, their way of working should be verified. (It should be definitely verified. It is a sign of vigilant journalism to find out the true persons behind the case. Sanatan feels that just because the police accuse, nobody should write against Sanatan with biased views till such accusations are proved with proper evidence ! – Editor SP) Or should the people follow the path of principles advocated by them? (Sanatan has never given such guidance. Everyone in Sanatan undertakes spiritual practice voluntarily and not by force ! – Editor SP)

Sanatan does not seem to believe in the democracy and Indian Constitution considering the language used. They appeal that people should eliminate the evils in society but what for the police and army is there? (The campaigns undertaken by Sanatan have always been lawful and in a democratic manner which have been successful too. If the DSP has really advocated such matters, would it receive such increasing response from the people? –  Editor SP) They should give an answer. Last year, the Sangli police have sent a proposal to the Maharashtra Government that ‘Sanatan’ should be banned; but like many other proposals lying pending with the Government even this proposal is also pending. (Recently Times of India has published that two proposals demanding ban on Sanatan have been dismissed by the State Government. This is because Sanatan’s activities have blessings of God ! – Editor SP)

After Goa bomb blast, the performance of Goa and Maharashtra police, not much is expected from them. The then Home Minister R R Patil had made statements like if the truth is brought forth, most of the leaders will have to go in hiding or run away; but he could not take a firm view against Sanatan. (Since Sanatan’s principles are in the interest of the Nation and Dharma, if any politician including R R Patil has to take action against Sanatan, he has to do so based on the principles only. It is the success of Sanatan’s principles based on God’s blessings that they are not able to take any action against Sanatan ! – Editor SP) The then chief of ATS had made a proposal to bring a ban on Sanatan. But the Government did not pay attention considering the politics of votes. The Government did not realize that terrorism is not limited to any community but it is against the whole mankind. We are paying the price of the Government’s indifference.

The so-called seeker of Sanatan has called us anti-Hindus and threatened to blow our office. (Such threat has been already condemned by Sanatan and such clarification has also been given to ‘Dainik Janapravas’ ! – Editor SP) We are given a challenge to save ourselves. We have been even accused of taking ‘contract’ to side Muslims. During the Miraj riots, we had written in favor of Hinduism with equal strength. But it is our honest opinion that the truth should brought forth before the people. Yes, we have taken ‘contract’ but it is for the humanity. We are not anti-Hindus but we are patriots. We value the Nation the most. (Sanatan’s principles are the same ! – Editor SP) .We feel that it is our duty to lash at all those who come in the way of prosperity of the nation. But these so-called seekers are against humanity. They do not believe in existence of people. How one can expect humanity from those fools who do not believe in humanity?

Unknown person sends threat letter by Sanatan’s name to ‘Dainik Janapravas’ to deface Sanatan

Miraj (Maharashtra): Recently ‘Dainik Janapravas’ office has received a threat letter by the name of ‘Jai Sanatan’ from a Sanatan hater. In this letter, the Editor of ‘Dainik Janapravas’ and the president of Maharashtra State Journalist Association, Mr. Sanjay Bhokare is threatened to be killed. This letter is sent with the intention of defacing Sanatan Sanstha. Sanstha has lodge a complaint in Miraj city police station against this. Along with it Sanstha has also sent a letter to the collector for controlling the hateful activities of haters of Sanatan.

The letter received by ‘Dainik Janapravas’ under the title ‘Beware Hindu hater Sanjay Bhokare’; says that, Be ready to bear the consequences of what is printed about Sanatan Sanstha. Those, who are Hindu haters staying in Hindusthan should leave for Pakistan. We are aware of the Muslims, who have given you the contract of defacing Hindus. You put Hanuman’s picture in your office on the Sangli-Miraj road and in your daily you write about putting ban on Sanatan and declaring it as a terrorist organisation. I pity you for that. Sometimes I feel like bombing your office. You live in Brahamnpuri. It will just take ten seconds to crush you. Beware. Now you are confronted by us. If you have the guts save yourself ! ‘Staunch Hindutvavadi, Jai sanatan’ (not Sanatan’s seeker) is written below this message. The Chief Manager of Dainik Janapravas  Shashikant Deshpande has lodged a complaint with SP Krushnaprakash against the unknown person. He has given orders for a detailed investigation of this matter.

Sanatan’s policy is to counter thoughts with thoughts !

Sanatan Sanstha has given a clarification letter to Sanjay Bhokare. This letter says that, we came to know about the threat letter received by Bhokare and his daily. We came to know that this letter is sent by the name of ‘Jai Sanatan’.  Please take a note that we are in no way related to this threat letter. The main activities of Sanatan Sanstha and Sanatan Prabhat are related to upliftment of Nation and Dharma. Our policy is to counter thoughts with thoughts. Sanatan has also received and is receiving many threat letters just like the one you received. We have always protested those letters. The letter sent to you is an attempt by someone to deface Sanatan. Hence we very strongly protest that letter. We are ready to cooperate in every way to find out the culprit. You have published a news and editorial write up in your daily in relation to the letter received by you. From this news and the editorial the needle is pointed to blame Sanatan. We are seeking advice of our legal advisors to check the legal aspects of this issue.

Control the activities against Sanatan ! – Sanatan’s letter to the collector

Sanatan Sanstha is confident that no seeker of Sanatan will do such an act. Sanatan’s haters are doing many activities to deface the Sanstha. Sanatan gave a letter to the collector as this incidence is one such incidence. In The letter says that, Sanatan haters are trying many tricks to spread hatred and heating up the public opinion in relation to the Madgao blast. Hence, to stop these things lodge cases against these people and arrest them at once. So that the constitutional and regular activities of Sanatan will not be obstructed. Also, the society will not suffer from the anti-social people.   

Stringent action should be taken against those, who sent threat letter to ‘Dainik Janapravas’ – Journalists’ appeal to the resident deputy collector

Sangli (Maharashtra): ‘Dainik Janapravas’ has received a threat letter from unknown person. Many journalists gave an appeal letter to the resident deputy collector Mr. Kishor Tawade saying that, serious note should be taken of this letter and strict action should be taken against the sender of this letter. There was a meeting of journalists organised in the office of ‘Dainik Janapravas’ before giving the appeal letter. Subhash Kharade of ‘Dainik Lalakar’, Avinash Koli of ‘Dainik Lokmat’, Sanjay Joshi of ‘Dainik Loksatta’, Hanmant Mohite, Sharad Paval of ‘Dainik Janapravas’ and some reporters of news channels were present for this meeting. They protested the letter in this meeting.
