Shriram’s devotees demand special permission for performing ‘puja’ at ‘Ramjanmabhoomi’ on the day of Shriram Navami
Pune : Foreign invaders purposely demolished Hindus’ places of worship. At many places, mosques were erected by demolishing temples. Even in Ayodhya, mosque was erected in place of Shriram Mandir. Hundreds of ‘Kar-sevaks’ demolished the structure shedding own blood. High Court has passed verdict about the land being birth place of Shriram; still Hindus are not allowed to perform ‘puja’ at the main place even on the day of Shriram Navami nor allowed to celebrate the day there. On one hand, glorification of Afzal Khan’s tomb is going on which is situated at the foothill of Pratapgad; but Prabhu Shriram revered by billions of Hindus is held captive in a tent at own birth place. On 15th April, the day of Shriram Navami therefore, all Hindus should be allowed to perform ‘puja’ at this place by granting special permission. Hindus will not tolerate glorification of invaders and denigration of own Deities, warned Shri. Milind Dharmadhikari of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during demonstrations held by HJS with other pro-Hindu organizations, under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’ on 10th April at Kothrud near Shivaji statue chowk. Shri. Chandrashekhar Tandale of Sanatan Sanstha also addressed the demonstrators.
Other dignitaries participating in the demonstrations were Shri. Swapnil Dhandekar of ‘Hoya Hinduch’ organization; Shiv Sena’s area-chief Shri. Akshay Bhegade from Sutarwadi, its Shakha-chief Shri. Rhushikesh Kulkarni, Bavadhan Pratishthan’s President Shri. Nikhil dada Vede- Patil, Shri. Rhushikesh Pawar, President of ‘Dharmarakshak Sanghatana’, in all about 140 devout Hindus. Demonstrators were holding banners on which their demands were written such as – building small temple of Shriram till big temple is built, restrictions on taking ‘puja’ material, ‘prasad’ should be withdrawn and let the sacrifice of ‘Kar-sevaks’ not go waste.
Act banning cow-slaughter is not being implemented properly in Maharashtra and even today, large number of animals is being taken for slaughtering and there is smuggling of beef. The present Act does not have stringent provisions for punishment; therefore, at many places, nabbed accused are released in one day and there are incidents of brutal attacks on ‘Gou-rakshaks’. The Act banning cow-slaughter should therefore be stringently implemented. Few rights should also be given to ‘Gou-rakshaks’ and they should be provided security, were the demands made by Shri. Chandrashekhar Tandale.
In the budget for 2016 of Karnataka State, lot of funds are provided for welfare of non-Hindus whereas not a single rupee has been provided for maintaining Hindus’ Devasthans; therefore, the huge aid extended by Karnataka Government should be cancelled, was also one of the demands made during demonstrations. Municipal councilor Shri. Yogesh Mokate and Shri. Umesh Bhelke extended help for holding the demonstrations.
