Goa Blast Issue : Police conduct inquiry of Sanatan seekers from Mumbai and Pune

Pune (Maharashtra): After the bomb blast at Margao, Maharashtra police have started inquiry of seekers who are practicing spirituality under the guidance of Sanatan Sanstha. On 27th October, Mr. Lokhande from ATS conducted inquiry of the seekers, Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni and Mr. Anand Paramshetty. The conversation that took place between Lokhande and the seekers is given below – 

Question: Is there a Sanatan ashram here?

Answer: No.

Question: Who are staying here?

Answer: I and Anand Paramshetty

Question: What is your full name and your contact number? Where do your parents stay?

Mr. Anand Gave all the information.

Question: Is any ‘satsang’ etc. conducted here? We were told about it by the people staying here.

Answer: No

Question: Do people assemble here?

Answer: No

Question: Who else is there? Call him.

Question: What is your name?

Question: Anand Paramshetty

(Inquiry about personal matters of Anand Paramshetty was done)

Lokhande left after this. After about 2 and ½ hours, he called up Mr. Kulkarni and asked the following questions.

Question: Where are you and what are you doing?

Answer: I have come to Kasba Peth to collect some news matter.

Question: When will return to the flat?

Answer: Around 5.45 p.m.

Question: Won’t you come early? My senior wants to meet you. It would be nice if you could come now.

Answer: OK

(Before Mr. Kulkarni reached, 5 officers were waiting for him on the ground floor. Four of them came inside. )

Police Officer (PO): How big is this house? Can we see it?

Answer: Yes (They saw the house, the ‘Dhyanmandir’ and other rooms.)

PO: We want to see your computer. Can we see it?

Answer: OK

(Thereafter Manoj Waghmare checked the reactions of the likely ban on Sanatan and the press releases on the computer and asked for a copy. In the meantime, the main PO once again asked the seeker his name and other personal details. )

Question: In ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’, do you refer to male seekers as seekers and female seekers as ‘sadhvis’?

Answer: One who undertakes spiritual practice is a seeker and that includes everyone.

Question: (Looking at the photograph of Malgonda Patil published in the newspaper) Do you know him?

Answer: No, I have read his name in the newspaper.

Question: Do you go to Goa?

Answer: My sister stays in Goa so I go to see her. 

Question: Have you been there recently?

Answer: About a year back.

(Checks the balcony. 1-2 persons were carrying out a check there. )

Question: Give your email-id. Is there internet connection here, then open your mail. (Opens email and checks the mails received and sent. As he saw reactions about ban on Sanatan, he took a copy of that.)

Police inquiry of Mr. Prakash Karandikar, a seeker of Sanatan from Malad, Mumbai

Mumbai: Police Officer Kotaskar from Crime Branch and assistant Parab in plain clothes went to the residence of Mr. Prakash Karandikar and made inquiry about ‘Sanatan Prabhat’. The following conversation took place between them.

Police : Give us your name, address and cell number.

Mr. Karandikar Gives all the information as required.

Police: Do you distribute issues of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’?

Mr. Karandikar: Yes

Police : How many issues you distribute in this area?  

Mr. Karandikar: 30

Police : Do you distribute all the issues alone? Can we get old issues of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’?

Mr. Karandikar: Yes, but the issues might be only of the last month

Police : OK , we wanted only this information today, in case we want some other information, we will come again.

(The police also asked in detail about the printing and distribution system of DSP)
