Foreign nationals join processions taken out at Ujjain !

Ujjain : Ujjain city known as the city of Shri Mahakaleshwar has now the look of Simhastha-Parva with Sadhus and Saints seen everywhere participating in processions. Every day, procession is taken out by one akhara or the other or some Khalsa and Sampradaya through Ujjain city. On 19th April, in the procession taken out by Shri Vishwayaguru Mahamandaleshwar Shri Swami Maheshwaranandpuriji Maharaj of Shri Akhalpuri Siddhapeetha from Pali, Rajasthan, foreign nationals had joined in large number despite high temperature in Ujjain. Devotees and Sadhus joined the procession even in 39 degrees temperature. Naga sadhus were walking bare feet even in such hot sun. Water was sprinkled through tankers on road to protect their feet from getting burnt; however, the heat was so much that the water was immediately getting evaporated, making roads dry.

There was lot of enthusiasm in atmosphere despite severe heat as devotion overpowered heat. Local residents crowded both sides of roads to see the processions and many Mahamandaleshwars were sitting on chariots decorated with flowers. Devotees were distributed ‘prasad’.

Wrongdoings during procession due to lack of Dharmashikshan

1. Two vehicles with 18 loudspeakers joined the procession.

2. Flowers were filled in guns used for bursting crackers and showered over Saints and Naga Sadhus.

3. A foreigner was in attire like Shrikrushna and busy in taking photographs with other people. Dress of the person was denigrating.

4. One of the Naga Sadhus was smoking, emitting smoke in air and dancing with hideous gestures. Reporters and people were eagerly clicking his photographs. This Naga Sadhu later started walking in procession by keeping his mace in security grill, fixed around a vehicle.

5. People crowded on roads to see foreign nationals whereas some young men were scoffing and having fun; therefore, few foreign devotees were getting angry.
