Bengaluru : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) conducts Dharmashikshan classes at more than 160 places in Karnataka. 15 days prior to the New Year (Gudhi Padava/ Yugadi), it was explained in Dharmashikshan class held in different districts about how to hoist ‘Gudhi’ with demonstration; its purpose etc. Many devout Hindus then hoisted ‘Gudhi’ in scientific manner in front of their homes and experienced happiness.
1. At 12 public places like at Chikkmagaluru, Hassan, Tumkuru etc. demonstration of hoisting ‘Gudhi’ was shown.
2.On the day of ‘Gudhi Padava’, 17 devout Hindus erected ‘Gudhi’ at home; so also at 13 places like Badami, Cholachgudd, Keruru in Bagalkot district; surrounding villages of Vijaypurnagar; at Arkeri; North Canara District; Shivmogga and at Mangaluru, Sulya, Putturu, Ujire etc. in South Canara District, ‘Gudhi’ was hoisted in presence of more than 400 people.
3. At more than 60 public places at Hubli, Dharwad, Haliyal, Gadag, Lakshmeshwar, Haveri, Hagaribommannalli, Torangallu etc. in Dharwad district, besides at Hospet, more than 1000 devout Hindus hoisted ‘Gudhi’.
4. Awareness on hoisting of ‘Gudhi’ was created through ‘Whats Ap’ sent to more than 2700 people.
