Representation submitted to police against anti-Hindu play ‘Shivaji underground in Bheemnagar Mohalla’

Kolhapur : On 30th April, play titled ‘Shivaji underground in Bheemnagar Mohalla’ was staged at ‘Shahu Kusti Maidan’. A representation was submitted to Juna Rajwada police station by all pro-Hindu organizations demanding to take action against producers, director, actors and sponsors etc. if it was observed that there was desecration of national leaders, holy scriptures, Saints, Deities and historical events.

It was stated in the representation that from the title of the play and information gathered so far, it is understood that there is denigration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and other great national leaders, Holy Scriptures, Saints and Deities. Nobody has right to denigrate others’ faiths under Dharma. The draft of this play should be examined and it should be checked by video-recording the show whether the play is staged as per its draft. Shri. Shivajirao Sase, Shri. Chandrakant Barale, Shri. Sanjay Paudkar, Shri Balasaheb Nigavekar and activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were present on the occasion.
