Badami (Karnataka): Hindu Dharma-jagruti Sabha was held here on 29th November 2009 which was attended by nearly 1500 devout Hindus. The meeting began with the lighting of a lamp by Srimat Ghanalinga Chakravarty Channamalla Shivacharya Mahaswami of Gachhinahere Mutt, Ramdurga. The dais was shared by Adv. Ishwarsing Thakur, the chief executive of Rashtriya Hindustan Sena, Manjunath Vathar of Dharma-shakti Sena, Miss Sphurti Bekanwari of Ranaragini, a branch of HJS and Mohan Gauda of HJS. Mahaswamiji said in his guidance, “Today, our country is going towards destruction because Indians have forgotten their culture.”
