Kolhapur :The Mayor of Kolhapur assured that instructions would be given to the administration for not using the Municipal machinery system for the anti-hindu drive of donation of Ganesh idols. A representation was given to the Mayor on behalf of Hindu Jana-jagruti Samiti.
Mrs. Sai Kharade, the Mayor said that she would be immersing the Ganesh idol consecrated in her house in water. Similar views were also expressed by leaders of other political parties like BJP that Government machinery should not be used for any campaigns which hurt the feelings of Hindus. It was also demanded that workers of organizations propagating donation of idols should not be allowed anywhere within 100 meters of the place of immersion.
