Kunigal, Karnataka : Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held successfully

Kunigal (Karnataka): Hindu Janjagruti Samiti successfully conducted Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha at Vasavi Kalyana Mantapa in Kunigal, Karnataka recently. The Sabha commenced at 5.30 pm with the blowing of the conch (Shankanad) by Devout Hindu Mr. Purushottam. This was followed by recital of Vedic mantras (Veda patana) by Mr. Kumaraswamy and his disciples. The Deepprajwalan was performed by Sri Sri Dr. Shivananda Shivacharya Swamy of Hirematha, Tumkur and other speakers on the stage. Around 200 people attended the Sabha.

The compeering was done by Kum. Sindhu and Mr. Avinash. Introduction of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti was given by Mrs. Bhavani Purushottam. She also explained its objectives and various activities.

In his lecture Sri Chandrashekar Swamiji spoke about the increasing dangers of terrorism from various religious sects and the lack of awareness amongst Hindus. He also lamented the lack of unity amongst Hindus. He cited the examples of various freedom fighters of our nation such as Bhagat Singh, Madan Lal Dhingra, Chandrashekar Azad and their mothers who were mentally prepared to even lose their sons who were fighting for the sake of the nation. He urged the need for the present day Hindu women to inculcate the same spirit in their children. Swamiji expressed his happiness when he learnt from the Samiti members who had gone to invite him that it is only due to the presence and blessings of saints that one can be successful in any activity.

Mrs. Suma Manjesh highlighted the increasing number of atrocities against women. Citing the widespread activities of ‘Love Jihad’, she brought to light the conversion of several Hindu girls to Islam. She explained the root cause for this as being the lack of Dharmasikshan and Dharmacharan. She emphasized the need for Hindus to unite to oppose the atrocities committed against women. She explained that Hindu Janjagruti Samiti has started a women’s wing ‘Ranaragini’ with the specific aim of creating awareness amongst Hindu women and uniting them.

Mr. Suresh, representing Dharmashakti Sena, spoke about the need for self-defense training in the present times. In today’s troubled conditions, no one can be confident that he is secure and protected. Even the police fail to provide adequate security and protect. He raised a very pertinent question ‘Who will protect the Hindus?” Sri Suresh stressed the need for each one to be trained in self-defense. Only then will our society and nation be safe.

In his lecture, Sri Sri Dr. Shivananda Shivacharya Swamy stressed that real change in the present conditions can be brought out effectively primarily by women and mothers. The root cause of problems such as conversion is the lack of dharmasikshan and ignorance amongst Hindus. By imparting knowledge about Dharma, especially to their children women can play a very crucial role. He also stressed the need for taking a positive approach and engaging in various activities to counteract the problems.

Mr. Chandresh of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti stressed the need for all Hindus to unite under one platform for the sake for Hindu dharma karya. He discussed the need for Dharmasikshan for Hindus, especially for children.

This was followed by the passing of important resolutions.

The program concluded with singing of Vande Mataram by Miss Kusuma and Miss Kavya.
