Muslim youth are more devout than Hindu youth ! – Swami Paramanand, Jyotishacharya

I was born at Kashi and am a science graduate from Pune University, with Chemistry. We have ashrams in Dhule district of Maharashtra and in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. I am a ‘kathakar’. I conduct discourses on stories from Bhagavat, Ramayana, Shiva-Purana and Devi Bhagavat. I try to tell something to the youth through my discourses and through the stories which would create awareness in them; but I fail.

I am worried since a long time; because today’s Hindu youth has neither any interest in Dharma, nor in temples; on the contrary, Muslim youth and even children in the age group of 5-6 years are imparted ‘Dharmashikshan’ so they don’t have to be told for abiding by their religion. Our children don’t go to temple but those children go to mosque and read ‘namaz’ 5 times , without fail.

Muslim women happily follow their culture, wear veil etc. but our Hindu youth is blindly following western culture; exposing body in the name of fashion. The fashion is so extreme that it would put even a Christian to shame. These things worry me. I feel what is going to be the future of our young generation. I am associated with RSS and express my wish to participate in HJS activities. I strongly believe that peace and satisfaction is only in Hindu culture but not in western culture.

  1. Swami Paramanand, Jyotishacharya ji,

    Namasthe,
You are absolutely right, not only the children but even the parents have no time to spend on devotion or teach the children about Divinity.
