Ujjain : On the day of second holy bath (Amrut-snan) on 9th May, more than 30 lakhs devotees and lakhs of Sadhu-Saints had holy bath in River Kshipra. There was such huge crowd that it was becoming difficult for police to manage them but Sanatan Sanstha and Hind Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) helped in maintaining law and order. All Saints and devotees were welcomed through banners displayed by Sanatan and HJS. Seekers were busy in this task from 6.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

1. Owing to huge crowd, nobody was allowed to go to Ram-ghat till 2.00 p.m.; leading to arguments between police and people.

2. People were saying that they couldn’t wait till Saints finished their holy bath. (After bath taken by Saints, water becomes more ‘sattvika’ but owing to lack of knowledge, Hindus are unable to understand this point ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

3. At many places, police forced people to leave behind vehicles; as a result, devotees had to walk nearly 5-6 kms distance and they were becoming impatient.

4. Police were driving away people from one place to prevent crowd from gathering but people were in no mood to listen.

5. Sanatan Sanstha’s seekers and activists of HJS formed chain to allow people to go in queue, cordoning around Sadhus- Saints and managing the crowd helping the local administration.

6. People were not listening to police; but they were listening to Sanatan seekers and following their instructions.

7. Police made use of horses to scare people. When police found that people were not listening to them, they charged on people riding on horses (Police oppressing people as was done during British regime and undisciplined people forcing police to do such things ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) which scared people.
