Researchers should realize that for getting joy through participation in Simhastha Parva, one should have faith and gratitude towards Deities and Sadhus- Saints !
Ujjain : What is the secret of devotees getting so much happiness by participating in Simhastha Parva held at Ujjain ? A group of scientists is conducting research and they are from Netherland, Russia, Singapore and Switzerland, besides India. They are assisted by 145 IT college students from Indore and Ujjain area. They have so far observed that after holy bath in River Kshipra, pure ‘jalabhishek’ over Mahakaleshwar with ‘darshan’, spirituality, bowing before and touching Saints’ feet etc. are helping most of the devotees to obtain lot of happiness. They discussed with 20,000 people on these things.
Manner of conducting research !
1. The research-group has so far contacted 20000 devotees.
2. Eighteen subjects like devotees’ behavior, faith, transport arrangements, basic amenities, leadership etc. have been included in their study.
3. Members of the research-group try to know experiences of devotees gone there on the days of holy bath (shahi-snan) and for ‘darshan’ on other days.
4. How should be the behavior of devotees is observed; their restrain, expectations from State Administration, problems and reasons for getting happiness are examined.
5. Help of drones and CCTV is also taken for conducting research.
Inference from research
1. Devotees feel very happy once they get out of traffic jams.
2. Devotees are always smiling despite carrying luggage over heads and even when they have to walk long distance. They look enthusiastic.
3. Devotees get drowned in devotion by ‘darshan’ in temple, holy bath in Kshipra River and touching feet of Saints.
4. It is possible only in a religious country like Bharat.
Many devotees are breaking rules and regulations
1. It has been observed through research that many devotees are breaking stipulated rules and regulations at Simhastha Parva; therefore, there can be sabotage in such huge crowds.
2. Devotees need to be trained on how to follow all rules and regulations.
3. Prof. Meghana, a member of research group said that there needs to be improvement in transport facilities during Simhastha Parva.
