Appeal for stopping unjustified Police action against Sanatan Sanstha

Nagpur (Maharashtra): Despite of the fact that Sanatan Sanstha is no way connected with Margao blast, the innocent seekers of Sanatan Sanstha are being unnecessarily interrogated by the Police in Maharashtra. They are being harassed. Therefore the home minister should take cognisance of this injustice done to Sanstha and stop the harassment of seekers by the Police. This was the appeal made by a delegation of Sanstha which met the Home Minister Mr. Patil in presence of the Shiv Sena leader Mr. Subhash Desai. Upon this the Home Minister assured them to that an appropriate action will be taken in this regard.

The above appeal was made by Mr. Subhash Desai, leader of Shiv Sena in Assembly, Mr. Ramesh Bakshi, ex-chief cordinator of Shiv Sena for Vidharbha region, Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha Mr. Abhay Vartak and other seekers of Sanatan Sanstha who met the home Minister in his chamber at Nagpur’s Vidhan Bhavan. On this occasion Home Minister received the 150 page memorandum prepared in the name of Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Chavan.

This memorandum contains information on Sanatan Sanstha’s spiritual activities such as Satsangs, Discourses, Bal-Sanskar Varg and the newspaper-cuttings and photographs published by other newspapers regarding Sanstha’s social and spiritual activities and activities for the defence of Nation such as First Aid, blood donation, eye diagnosis and other diagnostic camps, distribution of clothes, metal vessels, school-books to the needy; tree planting, village cleaning, Temple cleaning and campaigns for good organisation of fairs, Stress management for the military personnel, respect the National flag campaign etc. The memorandum also includes information on the Spiritual Holy texts and various VCDs published by Sanatan Sanstha. The certificates issued by the Government, Military, Police department and various organisations for the activities carried out by the Sanstha are also attached to the memorandum. Finally, looking at the memorandum regarding Sanstha’s mission, the Holy texts and Almanac( Panchang) published by Sanatan Sanstha,the Home Minister Mr. R.R. Patil praised that Sanatan Sanstha’s mission is definitely good.
