If Nelson Mandela can get Bharat Ratna, then why not Veer Savarkar ? : Sharad Ponkshe

Will the Central Govt. answer this question ?

Pune : Nelson Mandela fought against apartheid in South Africa and was conferred ‘Bharat Ratna’ award; but Swatantryaveer Savarkar who sacrificed everything for freedom of this country was not conferred this award, said Shiv Sena leader, actor and speaker Sharad Ponkshe. A program called ‘Rashtriya Swaha’ was held by Shiv Sena’s Kothrud constituency, Baner area on the occasion of golden jubilee year of Shiv Sena and golden death anniversary of Swatantryaveer Savarkar. Shiv Sena city-Chief Vinayak Nimhan, city-convener Shyam Deshpande, convener of the program Ganesh Kalamkar etc. were present.

Does Rahul Gandhi know his grandmother’s history ?

Regarding Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi feels Mahatma Gandhi belongs to them and Swa. Savarkar belongs to us; but does he know history about his grandmother that his grandmother, India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had donated Rs. 15,000/- for construction of Swa. Savarkar’s memorioal ?
