Has anyone seen any Mulla-Maulvi or Christian missionary doing such penance for welfare of people and society ? Only Hindu Dharma teaches true love for all and that too without any expectations ! – Editor, HJS website

Lucknow : A ‘sadhu’ in Nagla Madhaban village of Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district is praying inside a ring of fire to appease rain gods.

The 53-year-old sadhu has been sitting in the middle of 21 fire rings, trying to appease the rain gods. As reported, the flames of these fire rings are as high as three metres.

Earlier, numerous times special pujas have been performed across the country to pray for rain.

UP was been reeling under hot and humid conditions.

However, on Wednesday some light to moderate rains and thunder showers lashed a few places in the state.

While heavy rainfall was reported from a few isolated places in eastern region of the state in the last 24 hours.

According to the MeT Department, Bikapur and Kakardharighat received 5 centimetre of rainfall each, 4 cms in Azamgarh and Gonda. Three centimetres in Basti, Bhinga, and Rajghat. Nighasan, Kalilabad and Varanasi recorded rainfall of 2 centimetres each.
