Manikarnika Kunda should be opened for devotees, demand Hindus

Demand of ‘Shri Mahalakshmi Devasthan Bhrashtacharvirodhi Kruti Samiti (action committee)’

Devout Hindus submitting representation to Dy. District Collector S. R. Barge

Kolhapur : On 6th June, Shiv Sena demolished unauthorized toilet constructed at Manikarnika Kunda in premises of Shri Mahalakshmi Mandir. Shiv Sena MLA Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar led the drive against unauthorized construction. Remaining construction should be demolished without hurting religious sentiments of devotees and Manikarnika Kunda should be opened for devotees. The above demand was made by ‘action committee’ through a representation submitted to Dy. District Collector Shri. S. R. Barge.

Shri. Sudhakar Sutar, Shri. Madhukar Nazare of ‘action committee’, Shri. Shivajirao Sase of ‘Hindu Ekata Andolan’, Shri. Kiran Duse of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shri. Manohar Sorap, city-President of ‘Hindu Mahasabha’ and Shri. Sharad Mali of ‘Shivapratishthan Hindustan’ were present on the occasion.
District Collector Dr. Amit Saini deliberately ignored the demands and demonstrations staged for demolition of unauthorized toilet constructed without permission of Archaeology Department. Finally, Devi-devotee Shiv Sainiks led by MLA Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar demolished the unauthorized construction. It is an outbreak of devotees’ sentiments. Government administration should immediately demolish remaining construction of this toilet at Manikarnika Kunda; else people’s movement will have to be undertaken against the Government administration, warned the ‘action committee’ through its representation.
