Hubli (Karnataka) : On 5th June 2016, a discussion program was organized by Shri. Shivaram Guruswamiji on behalf of ‘Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samaj’. The program was hosted by Guruswamiji. Sou. Vidula Haldipur of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Shri. Pramod Mutalik of Sriram Sena were present on the occasion.

Sou. Haldipur said, “Religious traditions can be preserved if sanctity of temples is maintained; but for past few days, women like Trupti Desai, Vidya Bal and Vanita Gutte etc. have been trying to destroy Hindu Dharma and religious traditions, by exhibiting total disrespect towards them. Woman is respected as a form of Goddess in Hindu Dharma; therefore, there is no inequality in Hindu Dharma. Barring few temples, women are allowed in all temple-sanctums. Sabarimala is a ‘jagrut’ temple and women between age group of 10 and 50 who get menses, are not allowed to go there; therefore, HJS has strongly opposed to Trupti Desai’s going to Sabarimala.

Highlights

1. Shri. Shivaram Guruswamiji, the President of ‘Sabarimala Ayyappa Raksha Samiti (SARS)’ and an actor visited exhibition put up by Sanatan Sanstha and lauded its activities. He first tried to know the importance of Sanatan Panchang and its specialities before buying it.

2. All Swamijis participating in discussion session agreed with the points raised by HJS and asked for arranging such kind of meetings in all temples in their areas.

3. Shri. D. Chandrappa, President of ‘Kannada Literary Meet’ at Tumkur asked HJS to write articles related to Hindu Dharma for publishing in the fortnightly published by SARS.
