Information given in press conference by ‘Goudnyan Pratishthan’ and ‘Bharat Raksha Manch’
Bhubaneswar : A representation has been submitted by ‘Goudnyan Pratishthan’ and ‘Bharat Raksha Manch’ from Delhi demanding to take initiative in putting curb on cattle-trafficking taking place for slaughtering animals from Odisha State to Bengal and Bangladesh.
1. Every day 4000 cattle animals are sent out of Odisha State for slaughtering. Animal trafficking is taking place at Balasor border of the State.
2. These traffickers have close relations with terrorists and drug traffickers and the Central Home Ministry has knowledge about it but no strict action has been taken against anyone so far which is very unfortunate.
3. Largest trafficking of cattle in the country is taking place through Odisha State, informed Smt. Jagpreet Luthra, spokesperson of ‘Goudnyan Pratishthan’.
4. Smt. Luthra has been in contact with Superintendent of Police since past few weeks and has been receiving positive response from police department but in view of the heavy trafficking of animals which has now gone beyond control, even police officers have become helpless.
5. Considering the close nexus these traffickers have with police and local politicians, curb can be imposed only with the initiative of Central Government, hoped Shri. Murali Manohar Sharma, Joint Coordinator of ‘Bharat Raksha Manch’.
