In this background, the program was started with garlanding of picture-frame of Rani Lakshmibai by Sou. Vidula Haldipur, Coordinator of HJS for Dharwad district and Sou. Sandhya Dixit, ‘Pracharak’ of ‘Sanskar Bharati’.
Sou. Haldipur said, “Women need to avoid emulating western culture and nurture values and traditions as prescribed in own Dharma. Keeping Rani Lakshmibai as ideal, women should be ready for protection of Dharma and nation. Few progressive women like Trupti Desai of Bhoomata Brigade are fighting for demand of equal right for going to Shabarimala temple-sanctum. These women should try to learn glorifying religious traditions of Hindu Dharma and nurture them.
Sou. Sandhya Dixit of ‘Sanskar Bharati’ said that valiant women from our history who sacrificed everything for nation, used to follow Dharmacharan and religious traditions. There is need o impart Dharmashikshan to women for inculcating good moral values.
