Dr. Upendra Dahake narrated his experiences about fighting for protection of Dharma with the strength of own spiritual practice.
Dr. Dahake said that
I informed police about a truck transporting beef but they avoided taking action despite nabbing the truck. I had taken devout activists also with me; but one police inspector tried to pressurize me and to help fanatics. I was chanting; therefore, my inner strength increased and I didn’t give in to the pressure. I tried various things from 10.00 p.m. to 4.00 a.m.; contacted local elected representatives but no action was taken against fanatics. Then I filed a case in Court. The local lady-Judge was reluctant to handle the case and after rigorous follow up, hearing was arranged.
Later, while I was giving statement against police, 3 senior police officers tried to intimidate me; I was made to wait for 4 hours without even food since afternoon. I, however, continued chanting Krushna’s name and praying; therefore, I could fight with them at ideological level and was successful. As a result, action was taken against the concerned police inspector when law was passed in Maharashtra banning cow-slaughter.
We get God’s help in ‘Dharma-karya’ when we undertake ‘sadhana’. It is therefore, most essential for people working for protection of Dharma to undertake spiritual practice.
