Manager of ‘Rupali’ theatre in Panvel assured to omit the objectionable scenes from the film

Panvel (Maharashtra): In the recently published Hindi film titled ‘3 Idiots’, there is denigration of Lord Hanuman and Hindu Pundit. The screening of the film should therefore, be banned or the objectionable part should be omitted. The above demand has been made in a representation submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to the manager of Rupali Theatre. Mr. Prakash Patil, the Manager in response to the representation, assured the HJS members to omit the objectionable part from the film (although the film is telecast thro’ satellite) and forwarded the representation to the owner of the theatre. The manager of the theatre ‘Cineraj’ agreed with the view that there should not be denigration in the films but expressed his inability to omit the part from the film.

Later, the representation was also given to Mr. Vivek Lavande at Panvel Police Station  on behalf of HJS who agreed to extend full cooperation in the matter. Mr. Hemant Pujari, the dy. City chief of Shiv Sena called up the police head office and requested to stop the denigration.
