Human Right commission stays award to Anti Hindu Novel on Draupadi

Magh Shuddha Dwitiya, Kaliyug Varsha 5111

Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh): Following strong protests and complaint filed by from Hindu organisations headed by Pragnya Bharathi over nominating a novel written by Y Lakshmi Prasad to defame Draupadi in poor light, Human Right Commission sought explanation from the AP Government. Human Right Commision also stayed the Award function proposed on February 16.

Pragnya Bharathi cultural organisation of Sangh Pariwar opposed the nomination as the book portrays Draupadi in an erotic manner. One of the main objections is the alleged interpretation of Draupadi as someone who forever craves for carnal pleasures.

Selection panel constituted by Congress had purposefully nominated this novel which denigrates Draupadi iconic feminine character and an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna to hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Penning down Anti Hindu literature is the shortest way now a days for writers who seek fame and recognition.
