Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Chennai activists went to Vilankadupakkam, which is around 10 kms away. It is a small village having about 70 to 75 families (all Hindus) with an ancient Adi Moola Kesava temple, an equally ancient Lavapureeshwarar temple. This visit and satsang there was arranged by Mr. Subramaniamji of Jana Kalyan.
Morning session included abhishekam, archana(deity worship), Go puja(cow worship). Then, one group went to put up the temple flex at four nearby temples. Another went for door to door campaign. They were helped enthusiastically by the village children.

The evening session started with Satsang at 4 p.m. Around 60 adults and 30 children had assembled for the same. Initially, the importance of chanting and eightfold spiritual practice was explained during the satsang. Later, the importance of our Indian culture and the ill-effects of western culture were explained with the help of flex charts displayed there. It was followed by a small bhajan(devotional songs) session. Then selected clippings from video presentation of Dharma Satsang were shown. The satsang and the exhibition of the spiritual things were well received by the audience. The satsang was concluded by offering gratitude. Four reporters from various Tamil dailies attended the satsang and collected details for the press release including the photo of the satsang.
Highlights:
1. The campaigning efforts by Mr. Subramaniamji were very inspiring. He had invited people not only from Tiruvallur village but also from other nearby villages. While inviting the villagers at the time of door to door campaigns he had distributed sugarcane pieces, Kamakshi picture and turmeric. Even the news reporters were invited by him
2. Mr. Ganapathy Sharma, Trustee, Mr. Vaishnavi Trust, who also runs a veda pathasala at Thiruvenkadu attended the satsang.
3. The attendees from the neighbouring villages such as Kannampalayam, Puzhal inquired for arranging for such special lectures in their respective places.
4. Mrs. Vijaya, HJS activists was keen on starting satsangs at her place.
5. Villagers also extended their full co-operation in all our future endeavours.
6. Mr. Prabhakar, a full time RSS sevak also extended his co-operation.
7. The satsang session interspersed with bhajans(devotional songs) was interactive and well received by the audience.
