Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today claimed that his organisation was striving to build a strong Hindu society by promoting Hindutva in order to unify the country.
Addressing a well-attended rally of RSS workers at Sports Complex Ground here, Mr Bhagwat said that Hindutva has no barrier for any religion, caste, sect or language.
”There is a misconception in some sections that the RSS is a paramilitary organisation. The Sangh is an organisation of love and friendship and working to make India a world leader,” he said.
The RSS chief urged people not to be misled by propaganda against the 84-year-old Sangh that was running shakhas at over 40,000 places and undertook small and medium welfare projects across the country.
Stating that India was facing serious security threats from both within and outside the borders, Mr Bhagwat ridiculed the Centre for repeatedly issuing contradictory statements with regard to acquisition of land by Chinese forces inside Indian territory as it did in case of the 123 Indo-US Nuclear Agreement and the recent Copenhagen climate summit.
