Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted representations to the managers of various local theatres regarding the omission of the part in the Hindi film ‘3 Idiots’ where Lord Hanuman and a Hindu Pundit have been denigrated.
It is an insult and denigration of Deities to show them in human forms and make a mockery of them. In this film, Amir Khan has been shown in the attire of Lord Hanuman worshipped by thousands of Hindus. This has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus and this portion may be deleted from the film, else, an intense agitation will be started against the same. The above warning has been given by HJS.

The representation bearing signatures of office bearers of different pro-Hindu organizations was submitted to the owners and managers of the local theatres viz. ‘PVR’, ‘Fame’, ‘Apsara’ and ‘Big Cinema’. They promised to take immediate action and see to it that the portion denigrating the Deity would not be shown.

The delegation submitting the representation comprised of Mr. Nilesh Nagare of HJS, Mr. Sanjay Patil of Shiv Sena, Eknath Hivale of Lashkar- e- Shivaba, Advocate Harshal Shinde of ‘Krantikari Jaihind Sena’, Mr. Sachin Wade Patil of ‘Peshava Manch’, Mr. Subhash Kumawat of VHP, Mrs. Suvarna Nikam of ‘Ranaragini’, Mr. Rajat Mule, Mr. Amit Jaiswal, Mr. Pawar, Mr. Jadhav, Mr. Tarate, Mr. Pundit, Mr. Deo, Mr. Dewadikar, Mrs. Nakil, Punam and Mrs. Kulkarni along with other devout Hindus.
