Bangalore (Karnataka):
Sanatan is an organization that is creating awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma. If the Central Government does not withdraw the proposal of imposing ban on Sanatan, I shall sit for fast unto death in front of the Goa Legislative Assembly or in front of the Parliament in Delhi. The above warning was given by Sree Sree Sree Basavlinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji of ‘Bruhan Mutt’ in Haasan District, At the conclusion of the rally taken out by ‘Rashtra Utkarsh Samiti’ to protest against the Government of Goa and the Central Government which are trying to impose a ban on Sanatan under the pretext of its alleged involvement in Mudgaon bomb blast, he addressed devout Hindus.

Along with Mahaswamiji, Sree Dayanand Swamiji of Vishwanadam Ashram from Bangaluru and Sree Basavarajendra Swamiji of ‘Virakta Mutt’ also participated in the rally. About 250 devout Hindus joined the rally on their own. The rally ended with burning of a symbolic statue of Mr. Ravi Naik, the Home Minister of Goa. A representation against the ban was also sent to the Governor of Karnataka with its copies forwarded to the Prime Minister, Central Home Minister and the Chief Minister of Goa.

The rally was taken out from Town Hall to Mysore Bank in the morning. In the beginning of the rally, conch was blown and ‘puja’ of the ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ was performed. Mr. Vasudev Kashyap of all-India Hindu Mahasabha, Mr. S. I. Shivarama, a freedom fighter and Mr. Mohan Gowda of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) were also present.

Sree Sree Sree Mahaswamiji said further, “On what grounds, the Central Government is trying to impose a ban on Sanatan ? What is the mistake that has been committed by the founder of Sanatan H. H. Dr. Jayant Athavale? Recently, there was news shown on TV channels that a ‘father’ from a church forced 33 women to take up prostitution. Has Sanatan any time done some such thing ?”

Ban on Sanatan is like a fool stamping a Cobra with 5 hoods ! – Sre Dayanand Swamiji, Vishwandam Ashram, Bangalore

Many outsiders like the Mughals, the Portuguese, the Dutch, the French, the British have attacked spirituality of Hindus during the past hundreds of years; but they could never win. If the Central Government is trying to bring a ban on Sanatan, it should remember that this land belongs to great personalities like Rani of Jhansi, Rani Chennamma etc. who sacrificed their life for protection of Dharma. If ban is imposed on Sanatan, its reverberations would be heard all over the world. Imposing a ban on Sanatan would be as foolish as stamping a 5 hooded poisonous cobra.

I feel ashamed to see the corruption among politicians ! – Freedom fighter, Mr. S. I. Shivaraman

After observing the corrupt politicians and the pathetic condition of the Nation and Hindus, I feel ashamed of myself for fighting for freedom of this country!
