Representations submitted to Mumbai Mayor and local administration
Mumbai : On 3rd August, a representation was submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), under its drive for prevention of abuse of national flags, to Mayor, Sou. Snehal Ambekar and District Collector Shri. Chandrakant Thorat. Use of plastic national flags causes their denigration and their sale should be banned was the demand made through that representation.
Sou. Ambekar promised to present proposal to the Municipal Commissioner for creating awareness towards the issue through municipal schools. Shri. Sandesh Devale of ‘Shivapratishthan’, Shri. Bhalchandra Gaikwad of ‘Hindu Rashtra Sena’, Dr. Uday Dhuri, the Mumbai-spokesperson of HJS and Sanatan Sanstha’s Shri. Milind Poshe were present on the occasion.
Representation submitted to acting-Tehsildar, Panvel
Panvel : Smt. Kalyani Kadam, the acting-Tehsildar was given a representation demanding prevention of abuse of national flags. The other demands made through the representation were, taking action against those who have distorted history through 4th standard text books of Bal Bharati on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj; by publishing a picture of cordial meeting between Afzal Khan and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This picture should be replaced with a picture of slaying of Afzal Khan, depicting true history. Shri. Vilas Surve and Shri. Vilas Narhar Pundale were present on the occasion.
