Recently HJS had organized a special workshop at Kannampalayam which received heart warming response. Kannampalayam is a small village about 15 kms away from Chennai. Young Trainee teacher Miss Bhanupriya from this place happened to attend HJS workshop at Vilankadupakkam and was inspired to organize the workshop at her native. She took the initiative and entire responsibility for making this event successful.

A workshop was conducted at small Bajan temple in Kannampalayam. 5 Activists of HJS from Chennai had traveled to Kannampalayam for arranging this event. At this time Mrs. Uma Ravichandran explained the eightfold steps of spiritual practice as per of Gurukrupayoga (Path of Guru’s Grace). She stressed upon the importance and benefits of chanting of family deity’s name and Lord Datta’s name.

The flex posters explaining the subtle science and importance of Bharathiya culture and the ill-effects of western culture were shown to attendees. Mr. Srikumar narrated his spiritual experiences after he had started his spiritual practice. He also shared how intense prayers with holding the locket of lord Krushna and Goddess Lakshmi are helping him to overcome the difficult phases of life.

An exhibition of satvik items and Tamil Spiritual books was arranged outside the temple. Approximate 60 attendees including 35 children were benefited from this workshop.
Highlights
1. Miss Bhanupriya had given invitation to all villagers by campaigning throughout the village in a short span of time i.e. in a single day. Her sisters and father also participated in the workshop enthusiastically. They had made arrangements for Coffee and Prasad(Holy sacrament) distribution to the attendees after the workshop.
2. The attendees had actively participated in the workshop. By the end of the satsang, all of them had memorised the eight-fold steps of Spiritual Practice as per Gurukrupayoga (Path of Guru’s Grace).
3. The workshop was concluded with a bhajan session, arati and Prasad (Holy sacrament) distribution.
