Awareness created in 480 schools in Mumbai through medium of Virtual Class on behalf of MMC (Suburban) !
Mumbai : Suburban Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) showed through the medium of its Virtual Class, under its Education Department, VCD prepared by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on maintaining honour of national flags; as also held lectures on the subject given by HJS. The VCD was shown in 480 municipal schools.
The subject was explained to more than 100,000 students studying in municipal schools in 4 medium (Marathi, Hindi, English and Urdu) in Mumbai. Students were given information on revolutionaries; were explained ideal manner of celebrating Independence Day by Kum. Varsha Jevale of HJS. Education Department of MMC and its staff extended cooperation for this drive. Delegation of HJS met Sou. Snehal Ambekar, Mumbai-Mayor when she immediately instructed concerned Dy. Commissioner Shri. Ranajit Dhakane, education officer Shri. Mahesh Palkar for extending cooperation to HJS drives. The Mayor also issued an order-cum-appeal against use of plastic national flags on Independence Day. Shiv Sena’s municipal councilor from Worli and President of Education Committee –Mumbai Suburbs, Sou. Hemangi Worlikar too extended cooperation.
