Panvel: Many patriots joined the program organized by Shive Sena for collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’. People participated spontaneously raising the national flag and slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’. In this program, photocopies of ‘Vande Mataram’ song were distributed by HJS and people were explained the importance of respecting our national flag to prevent its denigration.
Five freedom fighters were felicitated on the occasion. Members of HJS told the gathering about freedom fighters sacrificing their lives for protection of the flag. Many leaders of BJP and Shiv Sena attended the program.
