Kopardi (District Nagar) : “The incident here has been viewed seriously by the Government and a proposal to impart self-defence training to girls and teach sanskars to boys in schools is under active consideration. The girl’s rape and murder here is very unfortunate and the Government firmly stands with the victim’s family. I will personally follow up the matter till the accused are hanged”, said Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra on 25th July. (If spiritual practice, morality and conduct as per Dharma were to be taught right from childhood, the sattvikta of children would increase and they will not think of committing bad deeds. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The Chief Minister also interacted with the villagers during the visit. He promised to get a charge-sheet filed against the accused within a month’s time.

Dainik Sanatan Prabhat Editor’s note

It was good to notice the CM comprehending the importance of imparting self-defence training to girls when women not only in Maharashtra but all over the country are insecure. Therefore, Sanatan welcomes his statement.

After Cm’s statement,  feminists, so-called ‘progressives’, various ‘Brigades’ and political parties are absolutely silent. This would mean they also agree with the Cm’s statement.

As soon as the ‘Self-defence’ word is uttered, feminists, so-called ‘progressives’, various ‘Brigades’ and political parties create a ruckus and they start calling Sanatan Sanstha, which is dedicated to serving the Nation and Dharma, a ‘Terrorist organisation’. They start shouting from public platforms that if Sanatan (that promotes self-defence) is not banned, the country will be destroyed. Now, these very elements are nowhere to be found.

If these people, who oppose an important programme (Self-defence training) of Sanatan, feel even a little shame after this, they must apologise to the people.

 Foresightedness of Sanatan about self-defence

Sanatan realised the inevitability of imparting self-defence training and giving sanskars as far back as 15 years. Accordingly, Sanatan started conducting Balsanskarvargs and self-defence training at various places. These received a very good response from the society.

Even a Holy text on the importance of self-defence was published by Sanatan in the interests of the society; however, the picture changed after the incident of a bomb blast in Thane. The anti-Sanatan lobby was looking for an opportunity to defame Sanatan since it had exposed the ugly face of so-called ‘progressives’. These people got an excuse with the Thane blast and started criticising Sanatan. They hurled unfounded allegations against Sanatan -’Sanatan teaches about violence’, ‘Sanatan imparts arms training’, ‘Swords were found with Sanatan’ etc. It is pertinent to note that not a single individual from this anti-Sanatan lobby ever visited the self-defence training classes being conducted by Sanatan.

In foreign countries, Governments which are sensitive about the security of women impart training on self defence to women free-of-charge. In Israel, boys are imparted military training right from their school days. The only objective behind such training is to ensure that the future generation is capable and self-sufficient to protect themselves.

However, when Sanatan tried to follow the same principle, efforts were made to create doubts in the society by raising questions such as ‘Sanatan has no confidence in our Army’, ‘When the Police and administration are there to maintain law and order, what is the need for Sanatan to impart self-defence training ?’ etc.

Who harmed the society ? – Sanatan or anti-Sanatan elements ?

Sanatan Sanstha has the attitude that every social problem is Sanatan’s own problem, and it undertakes various social programmes in this regard.

Even while imparting self-defence training, Sanatan’s seekers initially learnt the finer points of the training and then, started training the society accordingly. After many girls had received training in self-defence, they narrated their experiences about the increase in their self-confidence and the protection they could now get from the nuisance of roadside Romeos. The anti-Sanatan lobby became uneasy observing the increasing response to Sanatan from the society.

Due to continuous persecution, Sanatan had to step back a little from the constructive programme of self-defence training.

In foreign countries, Governments provide full assistance to volunteer organisations that undertake socially useful programmes. However, in Bharat, all Governments so far have only persecuted Sanatan. In fact, it is the duty of the Government to impart self-defence training to women and society. However, instead of fulfilling its responsibility, the Congress Governments were busy persecuting Sanatan with assistance from ‘progressives’, because Sanatan undertakes such programmes.

If Sanatan had not been forced to close down the self-defence training classes, many young girls would have been trained by now in self-defence. Thus, empowerment of young girls was prevented by opposing a very important programme. As a result, a lot of harm has been caused to the society.

Contribution of the so-called ‘progressives’ and social workers to serving the interests of the society is a matter of study now. These people have incurred demerits by not only remaining inactive for the progress of the society, but also by opposing those who undertake such useful programmes. Will they atone for their sins ?

Chief Minister of Maharashtra should felicitate Sanatan !

Anti-Sanatan elements are busy in defaming Sanatan. As a result, nothing is expected from them. However, we put the following questions to the Chief Minister – He has realised the inevitability of providing self-defence training from the incident at Kopardi. While implementing socially important programmes, Sanatan is also facing persecution in the rule of the BJP Government. Will the Chief Minister put a stop to this persecution at least now ?

Sanatan Sanstha not only conducts self-defence training programmes but also conducts various socially useful programmes such as providing first-aid training, training to face emergencies etc. Will the Chief Minister stop the witch-hunt of the Police against Sanatan, just due to pressure from the so-called ‘progres-sives’ ? All socially aware people expect this from him.
