Exhibition of Youth rowdiness in the name of ‘Dahi-handi’
Pune: ‘Dahi-handi’ festival is a festival of joy in memory of ‘Purnavataar’ Bhagavan Shrikrushna ! Unfortunately, due to lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’, the festival was celebrated in perverted manner at most of the places. The festival was celebrated in every nook and corner but there was no feeling towards Shrikrushna as there was exhibition of youth’s rowdiness; there was dance but no joy and only obscenity; there was enthusiasm of youth but there was no devotion. There were human pyramids erected while dancing to the tunes of film songs almost at all places and in such background, ‘handis’ were broken. (Celebrating festival in such manner means only enjoying in the name of ‘Dahi-handi’ for satisfying perverted fads. When festivals are celebrated as per science, only then, its benefits at spiritual level can be obtained. Such perverted actions do not result in any spiritual benefits; moreover, those, who actually do such wrong things; so also those, who silently observe, commit sin. Therefore, ‘Dharmashikshan’ is necessary to avoid wrong things. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
