Solapur:Last year, ANS (Andhashradha Nirmulan Samiti – Committee for Eradication of Blind Faith)and the Municipal Corporation had constructed 3 water tubs near Kambar Lake in connection with their campaign of ‘Donation of Lord Ganesh Idols’. The water in those tubs had become very dirty and was stinking. It was planned by ANS and municipal workers to collect the Ganesh idols and immerse them in the dirty water tubs. But the staunch Hindus were strongly opposing immersion in such dirty water.
Municipal officers were adamant and wanted to use the same tubs for immersion. As a result, the staunch Hindus destroyed all the dirty tubs of water. The Ganesh-devotees also immersed the idols as per the science thus ANS campaign of donation of idols proved to be a flop show.
