Sojat (Rajasthan): A company called ‘Indian Products’ manufacturing ‘Ayurvedik’ medicines had printed a picture of Lord Ganapati on the cover of its product known as ‘Madhumunakka’. A devout Hindu attending ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) noticed the picture and realized that it was denigrating Lord Ganesha. He informed the matter to other devout Hindus. They wrote a letter to the company, two members of HJS met the Manager of the company and explained to him about the denigration of the Deity. The management of the Company then decided to change the cover of the product and informed about their decision to HJS in writing.

‘Indian Products’ is a company manufacturing ‘Ayurvedik’ medicines at Buwar in Rajasthan. On the packing cover of its product called ‘Madhumunakka’, there was a picture of Lord Ganesha. The cover of the medicine is thrown anywhere on the road, gutter etc. after use which is an insult and denigration of the Deity. The devout Hindus attending the ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes held by HJS noticed the same and decided to write to the management of the company. Mahesh Rathod, a student of 12th standard also motivated his 55 classmates to write letters to the company.

Mr. Shriram Kane and Mrs. Sushila Modi of HJS went to the office of the company and met Mr. Shyam Lal Bansal and explained to him the manner in which denigration of the Deity takes place. Mr. Bansal said that the consumer is almighty and assured that the picture would be removed from the cover. He even showed a sample of the new cover of the said product. He gave a letter to HJS thanking it to bring to his notice such denigration and rendered apology for having unknowingly hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The company also sponsored 4 ‘flex’ banners displaying spiritual information about Lord Ganapati.
