Dhule : The Government had erected artificial pond two years back. One Hindu was drowned in the same and died; therefore, do not erect artificial ponds. Immersion of idols in flowing water as per Hindu Dharmashastra, spreads ‘sattvikata’ till far off places and with the grace of Shri Ganesh, there is enough water, said Shri. Pankaj Bagul of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during ‘Dhule District Peace Committee’ held on 2nd September in the background of Ganeshotsav and Bakri Eid at the hall in District Collector’s office. The meeting was attended by District Collector Dilip Pandharpatte, Mayor Sou. Kalpana Mahale, Dy. Mayor Ansari, District Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chaitanya S, additional DSP Chandrakant Gawali, Dy. District Collector Tukaram Hulawale, Fr. Wilson, Maulavi Shakil, M N Joshi, BJP’s Shri. Hiraman Gawali, Shri. Sanjay Sharma, Shiv Sena’s Shri. Mahesh Mistry and NCP’s Shri. Milind Mundada.

Shiv Sena’s Shri Mahesh Mistry said, “Permission is never required to be taken at the time of festivals of non-Hindus. Why restrictions are imposed only during Hindus’ festivals ? Load-shedding is also undertaken only during Hindus’ festivals; but not at other time. One gets stink of Bakri Eid even after 20 days. Why should only Hindus tolerate such things ? Even if it is our Government, it is very shameful that injustice is always done to Hindus.”

BJP’s Shri. Hiraman Gawali said, “The Government administration has asked to fit closed circuit cameras; but it is not possible for ‘Mandals’ to get them fitted. The local administration should do this job.”

Other happenings during the meeting

1. Hindus’ grave ignorance about similarity between their Dharma and Muslim’s religion !

One so-called ‘Hindutvavadi’ explained how Hindu and Muslim religions are similar. He said, “Shiva cut off head of his son and later, an elephant’s head was fitted; similarly, Prophet Mohammad’s son’s head became like that of a goat and it was sacrificed. Therefore, Shri Ganesh Chaturthi and Bakri Eid always coincide with each other.”

2. A Muslim leader said, “Riots never took place during Shri Ganesh festival in Dhule till now and it will not happen even in future.” (Muslims are constantly staging riots in Dhule district and surrounding areas and they are always after Hindus’ life. Hindus will never forget riots of 2008. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

3. A Muslim leader began his talk by saying a sentence from Quran. (How many Hindus say ‘shloka’ before starting talk ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

4. During the meeting when it was time to read ‘namaz’, many Muslim leaders left for the same. (Hindus need to realize ‘Dharmaprem’ of Muslims ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
