Ganeshotsav drive : HJS submits representations in Sangli district

Sangli : Appeals were submitted to various authorities in Sangli district, demanding celebration of Ganesh festival as per Hindu religion and immersion of idols in traditional way. Appeals were submitted to Shri. Prashant Thorat, Resident Naib Tahsildar and Group Education Officer , Palus. Appeals were submitted at Dist. Collectorate Office, Sangli and State Office at Miraj.

Appeals were submitted to Shri. Sudhir Gadgil, MLA from Sangli Assembly Constituency and Shri. Raju Shetty, MP from Hatkanangale Parliamentary Constituency. Shri. Raju Shetty opined that some permanent amicable solution should be drawn regarding immersion of Shri Ganesh idols. Appeals were also submitted to 30 Schools, 5 Colleges and Education Board.
